The JBR Power Path Short Ram Intake kit is where the path to making more power begins for your SkyActiv Mazda. The JBR SRI is a complete replacement for the restrictive factory intake hose and air filter box. Simple to install and no ECU tuning is required.
Every MAF housing is machined from 6061 aluminum to tolerances of +/-.001" of spec. We’ve also gone a step further and added an air straightener to the housing which the factory air box does not have. This creates more laminar airflow therefore increasing sensor resolution for the most accurate signal from the MAF sensor to the ECU.
Our MAF housings are the lightest in the industry weighing in at only 9.6oz. The lighter housing significantly reduces heat soak and sheds heat quicker lowering intake temperatures creating more power. Each MAF housing is beautifully anodized for a smooth, long lasting finish resistant to corrosion, even when subjected to the harshest environmental conditions.
Our custom 6 ply polyester reinforced silicone intake hose eliminates the turbulence caused by the factory accordion rubber hose delivering smooth, oxygen rich air directly in to your engine. Our silicone is installed using wide stainless T-bolt clamps, not weak worm gear clamps to ensure a leak free seal.
Every Power Path Short Ram Intake includes a Dry-Flow air filter. JBR Dry Flow air filters flow 200% more air than the factory filter while providing superior engine protection. It uses both depth loading, capable of removing extremely fine particles (down to 0.1 micron), and structural screen wire to enhance airflow capabilities. This design results in a performance air filter capable of increasing horsepower and torque! The three-dimensional synthetic filtering medium is washable and requires no oiling for years of trouble free service.
